All EVTA members are invited by the Polish Vocal Teachers Association to JEVOP 2019. It will take place at The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław from 20 to 22 September.


During Jewels of European Voice Pedagogy (JEVOP) national rooted „jewels“ of European voice pedagogy are made visible for colleagues from all European countries. JEVOP is organized round the annual Council Meeting of the European Voice Teachers Association (EVTA).


Piotr Łykowski, the dean of the Vocal Faculty and the president of the Polish Vocal Teachers Association, and the members of PVTA have the honour to invite all EVTA members to JEVOP 2019. The theme of JEVOP is 'Professional Challenges of Vocal Pedagogy in the 21st Century'.


In 2019 we are celebrating the 200th birthday of the acclaimed Polish opera composer Stanisław Moniuszko. At JEVOP we would like to present Moniuszko’s works and the Polish culture in general through lectures and concerts!

We are all hoping to spend an amazing time with you!

16.30 Opening and welcome

16.45 – 17.45 Lecture by Maciej Prochazka on Moniuszko - The creator of the Polish opera on the background of national history.

18.00 Gala Concert with fragments of Polish operas - Pearls from the Moniuszko operas and songs. 

19.30 Gala dinner - Meet and Greet meal. (Please book and pay in advance if you wish to attend this social gathering for councillors and friends)

12.00 Polish language phonetics - Lecture by mgr Agata Chodorek

15.00 Polish Artistic Song – Lecture by dr Grzegorz Zieziula (PAN)

17.15 Concert:  Jewels of Polish Music - the most beautiful songs of Polish composers. 

Sunday - September 22nd, 2019

10.00 Visiting Wroclaw with a guide.

12.00 Officially End of Jevop and start of PVTA meeting (for Polish PVTA members).


Conference book - invitation to send in articles

A conference book will be published. Members of EVTA and other voice teachers are invited to publish an article in English, connected with singing or Professional Challenges of Vocal Pedagogy in the 21st Century.
