Latvian Association of Teachers of Singing (LATS) is hosting a Zoom webinar by Mauro Fiuza (UNED, Spain) and invites EVTA members and Friends of EVTA to join!
The webinar will consist of two sessions - Physiology of Vocal Timbre (10:00-12:00 CET) and Voice Distortions: Why and How (13:00-15:00 CET).
Registration is open until November 25. Members of EVTA associations and Friends of EVTA as well as their students can participate for half of the regular price (namely, just 15 EUR). Payment through PayPal or via regular bank transfer is possible. If you are busy on that particular day, you can still register and will receive access to a recording of the webinar that will be available to registered participants online until the end of the year.
Mauro Fiuza is a teacher of singing and a voice researcher. He is a doctoral student at the Faculty of Education of the UNED (Spain) where he also works as a research assistant at the Voice, Music and Language Laboratory (UNED VoiceLab). He has a degree in music education (UniSant'Anna, Brazil) and a master’s degree in speech language pathology (PUC-SP, Brazil), where he studied Intentional Voice Distortions. His background is composed by studies in voice science, vocal technique, and voice pedagogy. He is a guest professor in five vocal pedagogy and speech language pathology postgraduate courses in Brazil, teaching topics on voice distortions, amplified singing and vocal acoustics and physiology.
He is also the tutor of the “Specialization Course in Pedagogy and Technology of Voice and Singing” at the UNED, coordinator of the "Curso Online de Formação em Pedagogia e Ciência Vocal", and has presented in-person and online lectures, lessons and workshops in several countries in North and South America and Europe. He is also a founding member of the Brazilian Association of Teachers of Singing – PROCANTO, coordinator of the World Voice Day website and pedagogical coordinator of the Instituto de Formação em Voz - IFV, Brazil.
