The YPP is designed to enable young professionals to participate in European conferences. It was initiated in Vienna in 2006 and continued in Paris at ICVT7/Eurovox 2009, Eurovox congresses in Munich (2012), Riga (2015) and the Hague (2018).
For the Eurovox 2026 in Lucerne, Switzerland, EVTA has transformed the format of the YPP, once aimed at young singers, in light of EVTA’s mission to strengthen the exchange of knowledge among voice teachers. The new programme places young voice teachers at the centre of Eurovox.
At Eurovox 2026…
- YPP participants will receive a warm welcome: a guided tour of the congress venue and the opportunity to join the EVTA Council Members’ Meet & Greet dinner.
- During Eurovox, EVTA will host two dedicated YPP sessions. These sessions will provide a space to discuss and reflect on the conference themes and encourage rich interaction not only between young and experienced teachers, but also among young voice professionals themselves. Informal conversations during the coffee and tea breaks will offer even more opportunities to connect across generations and develop a personal international network.
- The participants will have the opportunity to be matched with a dedicated mentor from one of the participating associations and will be available to stay in touch throughout the conference – and possibly beyond. This mentoring initiative strengthens the connection between associations, in line with EVTA’s core mission.
- Support in finding (shared) accommodation is also provided.
- The programme is open to maximum 10 participants. The maximum age is 30 years, and applicants must be a member of an EVTA association. Participants of the YPP programme will be required to register for the congress, however, at the YPP special discount rate.
